Go-To-Market Slide for Your Pitch Deck

How to build a GTM slide that shows investors your growth strategy. Channels, unit economics, and acquisition playbook.

What This Slide Must Prove

The GTM slide answers the question investors care about most after seeing your product: how will you get customers?

  • You have a clear, specific acquisition strategy
  • You understand the cost of acquiring customers
  • Your channels match your target customer
  • The economics work at the current stage

"We will use social media and partnerships" is not a GTM strategy. Specificity wins.

What Investors Look For

Criteria used in real pitch reviews:

1

Clear Channels

Which 1-2 channels are working or being tested? How do customers find you today?

2

Cost Structure

What does it cost to acquire a customer? How does that compare to LTV?

3

Scalable Motion

Can you pour money into this channel and get proportional results?

4

Stage-Appropriate Depth

Pre-seed: hypotheses are fine. Seed: early data. Series A: proven, repeatable funnel.

The best GTM slides show evidence, not plans. Even small numbers from early tests are valuable.

Strong vs Weak Signals

Common Failure Patterns

  • Buzzword GTM: Saying 'product-led growth' or 'viral loops' without explaining the actual mechanics.
  • Too many channels: Listing 6 channels means you have not figured out which one works yet.
  • No unit economics: A GTM strategy without CAC, conversion rates, or payback period is just a wish list.

Quality Criteria

  • Show numbers: Even early numbers beat no numbers. '12 of 50 cold emails converted' is data.
  • Match your stage: Hypotheses at pre-seed, early tests at seed, proven funnel at Series A.
  • Prove repeatability: One-off wins are anecdotes. Show the motion that can be repeated.

Target reaction: "They know how to find customers and the economics make sense."
