Enhanced overview page after pitch creation

Here's what was fixed:

  • Added smart empty states so users aren't lost when nothing's analyzed yet
  • If no pitch content: clear guidance to start writing
  • If pitch has content but no analysis: tells you what to do
  • Score cards, section performance, and stats now show helpful placeholders
  • Progress bar doesn't pretend things exist when they don't
  • Visuals and tips guide you through section writing and AI triggers (50+ characters)
  • Whole thing upgrades automatically as you go from zero to solid draft

It finally works like it should've from day one.

The problem with empty states

Before this update, users would create a pitch and immediately see a confusing dashboard with missing data and no clear guidance on what to do next. This created a poor first impression and left users feeling lost.

Smart guidance system

Now the overview page adapts to your progress:

No content yet? You'll see clear instructions to start writing your pitch with specific guidance on what to include in each section.

Have content but no analysis? The system tells you exactly what triggers the AI analysis and how to get the most out of it.

Analysis complete? You get the full dashboard with scores, insights, and actionable recommendations.

Visual improvements

  • Progress indicators that accurately reflect your current state
  • Helpful placeholders instead of empty or broken UI elements
  • Contextual tips that appear when you need them most
  • Smooth transitions as you progress from empty to complete

The result

Users now have a clear path from their first pitch creation to a fully analyzed, investor-ready deck. No more confusion, no more dead ends.

The overview page finally lives up to its name. It gives you a true overview of where you are and what to do next.
